Okay, so you want to win an award? Well I've split it into very simple categories here so you can look at the different awards you can win and see example of sites that have won them before; remember to read the overall rules for applying for an award.

This is for sites that are quite pretty - a nice layout, nice graphics, easy navigation and some content for me to browse through. If you have a new website or are new to website design, then this is the award for you.

The 'Smarty award for Content' is as it says for content. To win this your site must have a substantial amount of content to keep busy and interested, and to make me want to come back. I would like to see a variety of content - or if it does specialize in only one thing; wallpapers for example a larger than normal collection would be expected (say 150+). Your site should also be updated quite frequently. Please note: I hate coming soon pages and would hope for none or the bare minimum. Please no broken links. See previous winners for an idea of content wow-ing sites.

This award is called 'Elegance' because it is for the graphics and layout and not for the actual content. So if you own a fanlisting and it hasn't got much content besides a member list - but it looks absolutely stunning and gorgeous then this is the award for you. The graphics and layout must be your own - and you can apply again with a different layout later too. Please note the key word: 'stunning' in the title, you must have a very impressive layout.

This is for really, truly, amazing websites that have great content and great layout and graphics. I do look for sites to be very well laid out, easy to navigate and I really must insist on no 'free hosting' sites like angelfire etc. There are people out there who offer free hosting on their domain - ads and pop-ups are not our friends. So if you think you've got a really amazing site then this one's for you. (Please note: this is not content-specific or graphic specific like the other two so I take into consideration the whole site.)

Well this used to be what I have now called 'The Power Award' but since I lost all of my award files I got a little graphic happy and made an Illyria one that I really liked. So the Radiant award, is now one that you cannot apply for and I will only give it out to those who really deserve it for various reasons - frequent updates, or something truly original, or outstanding content/graphics, or a site that is in my favourites that I just can't help going back to. (Note: this is the equivalent of Smarty and Elegance combined)
